Since I became a member of the Lions fraternity in 1964, I have collected scores of certificates, accolades, and badges. To me, each one holds a story—a moment of service, an appointment, an appreciation, an award, participation in an event, or an acknowledgement of merit.

These tokens represent more than achievement. They reflect the journey, the people, and the purpose behind every step. From club milestones to international recognitions, each piece is a quiet witness to a life dedicated to Lionism and community. For instance, a certificate from the Ministry of Health for a blood donation campaign served as a recognition for the many painstaking hours in initiating, planning, and executing the programme. It told  the story of a dedicated team of Lions who came together to realise a worthwhile community service – in securing the necessary funds and venue, writing to various organisations and individuals, assessing the logistics and equipment, and inviting professional health personnel and volunteers … just to name a few.

One such certificate was the Five-Star Governor Award given to District Governors who had excelled as exemplary leaders through their commitment to the principles of Lions Club International. This distinguished service award, given by the Lions International President, was not only a testament to my contribution to the community, but it also reflected the dedication of the team that stood behind me.

Allow me to share some of these certificates, accolades, and badges as part of my journey with the Lions Movement. (Click the column of the right)
